There are 1500 women associated through 140 Mission Shakti SHGs who have been adopted by Aditya Aluminium and are being supported through capacity building, training, Income Generation Activity backward forward linkage, financial inclusion and helping them avail social security. The women entrepreneurs are involved in Mushroom, Turmeric, Hand Wash, Phenyl making, Snacks items, Mixture Namkeen making among many other Income Generation activities. The journey started in 2017 when Aditya Aluminium commnced its CSR intervention in the villages. The start was tiny step of reaching to the SHGs attending their meeting and providing them assistance in their small income generation activities. Slowly and steadily SHGs started joining hands with Aditya and Aditya Aluminium in turn join hands with Mission Shakti, OLM and ICDS ORMAS line departments working for common goal of women empowerment under various central state government schemes. Bomoloi is today hub of Mushroom growers. Everywhere mushroom is taken as income generation activity. So what is special about Bomoloi! In Bomoloi GP one SHG woman started in 2019 with 20 beds and today more than 25 women are doing 3500 plus beds without input support from Aditya. They invest their fund and earn profit. Aditya Aluminium plays catalyst in capacity building, backward forward linkage, and market support.
