Bhubaneswar, 28/4: On the occasion of Utkal Gaurab Madhusudan Das’ jubilee, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the ‘Utkal Gaurab Madhusudan Museum and Interpretation Center’ at Satyavamapur, Madhubab’s birthplace this evening. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Madhu Babu was a symbol of Oriya self-respect. His biography is a glorious tale of Oriya self-esteem.
Attending the event through video conferencing, the Chief Minister paid homage to Utkal Gaurav and said that Satyavamapur is a pilgrimage site for all Oriyas. He said the museum would continue to inspire everyone, especially the younger generation, to protect the dignity of the Oriya people.
Revealing that Satyabhamapur is being developed as a model village, the Chief Minister said that the government would continue its efforts to make the village an important tourist destination.
The Chief Minister called on Odisha to work together to make Odisha the best state in Madhuban’s ideology, saying that there is no comparison between Madhuban’s love of race and sacrifice. Madhubabu has given up everything for the Oriya nation. For him, Oriya self-esteem was paramount. He has never compromised. His contribution to this nation will forever immortalize him in the hearts of the Oriya people.
Highlighting Madhuban’s contribution to Odisha, the Chief Minister said that Madhu Babu’s efforts to form a state based on language in the formation of a separate state of Odisha reflect his vision. Since independence, many Indian states have been formed on the basis of language. But at the time, Odisha was India’s first state in terms of language.
Attending the function, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Shri Pratap Jena said that Madhu Babu was the forerunner of the Oriya nation. On his jubilee, the Chief Minister today inaugurated the Madhu Museum. “Today is a day of pride and glory for Oriyas all over the world,” he said.
Salepur MLA Shri Prashant Behera said that the Chief Minister has taken a number of steps for the development of Satyabhamapur village. He highlighted the various steps being taken to improve Satyabhamapur.
District Commissioner Shri Bhavani Charan Chini delivered the welcome address and Mr. Prashant Kumar Raut, President, Satyavamapur Madhusudan Sanskriti Sanghar, thanked the participants.
The function was attended by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and senior officials at the Lok Seva Bhavan.
A short film about the Utkal Gaurab Madhusudan Museum and Interpretation Center was screened on the occasion.
The museum houses a variety of rare items, including Madhubabu’s entourage shawl, rare childhood photos, births, and dhinkis.
