75th Anniversary Of Independence Day Celebrated At INS Chilka 

Chilika, 15/8:   INS Chilka, the Indian Navy’s premier training establishment, celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Independence Day with excitement and patriotic fervour as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. 

 

Cmde NP Pradeep, Naval Officer-in-Charge (Odisha) and Commanding Officer, INS Chilka laid a wreath at War Memorial, prior to review of the ceremonial parade. Proficiency certificates were given away to ten high performers of Station Chilka.

 

In his address, the Station Commander urged the personnel of Chika to rededicate themselves in the service of the nation.

 

The Commanding Officer also unfurled the National flag at Naval Kindergarten School and Kendriya Vidyalaya of the Station and witnessed the cultural programmes by the students which showcased their collective sense of nationalism and patriotic feelings.

 

As part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’, the National Flag was unfurled by all the Naval Personnel and their dependants in their respective Office and residential areas.
