Deoghar, 20/10: Today Sri Bijayananda Sahu, Jr. Engineer, Tileibani Block, Dist-Deogarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.8000/- from a Complainant (Contractor) for facilitating release of the final bill of the work executed by him. The entire bribe amount of Rs.8000/- has been recovered from the accused Sri Sahu and seized.
Following trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Sahu from DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.24 dt.19.10.2022, U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered.Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Sahu, Jr Engineer. Detailed report follows.
