Kantabanji, AO Bureau: A murder case of 2019 has been pronounced by Kantabanji additional district judge (ADJ). Sharat Majhi, the murderer was sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to pay a fine of 20 thousand rupees. In case of non-payment of fine, the Additional Magistrate Himansu Shekhar Mallik has ordered to serve 6 more months in jail.
Sharat Majhi brutally killed his younger brother Debran Majhi with a knife in Junapada village of Kantabanji police station Beherensilet in December 2019 due to a family dispute. Sharat Majhi returned after killing. Later he was arrested by the Kantabanji police and taken to the court.Being granted bail, he was sent to judicial custody.
