Ranpur, 03/06 : The death toll has increased to 288 and more than 1000 have been injured in the terrible train accident in Baleshwar district on Friday evening. The death toll is likely to rise further In this accident, the rescue team is engaged in rescue operations to evacuate the people trapped in the buggy. The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Baleswar. The Baleshwar train accident is the fourth fatal train accident in India so far.
After the news of this accident spread around, a shadow of sadness has been played everywhere. Everyone in the world is devastated after hearing this sad news. The people of Ranpur area of Nayagarh district have also expressed deep grief over this incident. In the evening, Ranpur Press Club, Jagannath Sena, charioteers and the public lighted candle infront of the Ranpur Jagannath Temple to pray for the immortal souls of those who died in the train accident and for the healing of the injured. Similarly, teachers of Narsinghpur cluster also did silent prayers and prayed for the immortal soul of the deceased.
