Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, I-T department slaps Congress with Rs 1700 cr demand notice: Report

New Delhi, 28/3: The Income Tax Department has issued demand notice of Rs 1,700 crores to the Congress, news agency ANI reported, citing sources.

The fresh demand notice is for assessment years 2017-18 and 2020-21, and includes penalty and interest.
