Sambalpuri Singer-Actress Ruksana Bano Passes Away During Treatment; Family Alleges ‘Murder’

 

Bhubaneswar: The renowned Sambalpuri singer-actress Ruksana Bano passed away on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Her untimely demise has sparked controversy, with her family alleging foul play.

Ruksana, who had been battling illness for the past 15 days, was initially admitted to a hospital in Bhawanipatna on August 27. As her condition deteriorated, she was transferred to Bolangir Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, and subsequently to a private hospital in Bargarh. Despite multiple interventions, her health did not improve, leading to her final transfer to AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

The family of the late singer-actress has accused another Sambalpuri singer of slow poisoning Ruksana, claiming it was a deliberate act of murder. These serious allegations have added a layer of mystery to her death, with some sources suggesting that she might have succumbed to Scrub Typhus.

Ruksana was reportedly in the middle of shooting for a song when she fell ill. Her sudden death has left the Sambalpuri music and film community in shock and mourning1. The authorities at AIIMS Bhubaneswar have yet to comment on the allegations or the exact cause of death.
