Kalingnagar, 03-10-2024, Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading company in, Jajpur District, is actively involved in enhancing the welfare of the peripheral community through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Recently, it organized “Swachhata hin Seva” program in Solei village of Dangadi, under which garbage dumps in three places of the said village were cleaned and different kinds of flower trees were planted in the said places. Among the guests of honor, Danagadi BDO- Mr. Sarada Prasanna Panda, RWSS Officer- Mr Diptimanta Mallik, Trijanga GP Officer Kamini Sahu and officers from CSR and Environment Department of Jindal Stainless participated in the tree planting program.
Apart from this, Jindal aims to make Solei a model waste-free village by collecting wet and dry garbage daily and educating the residents on environmental issues. In this program, Self Help Group of Solei Village, members of Kishori Girls Mandal and students of the school took major part in planting trees and Jindal Stainless Limited will fully cooperate to make Solei Village a waste free village. A drawing competition was organized on the occasion, especially at Solei Primary School, where more than 30 children participated and received prizes from the chief guest, Mr. Satya Narayan Nayak.
In another initiative, Jindal Stainless Limited launched a sewing training center at Manpada village in Rangundi panchayat, benefiting more than 40 women trainees from the area. JSL HR/IR Department Dy. GM Mr. G.R. Krishna Kumar inaugurated the event . Mr. Sukant Rath, Sanjay Kumar Mohanty, Tapan Kumar Naik and Hemant Bahalia of Jindal’s CSR department managed the program, which reflected the company’s commitment to empowering local women and upskilling them
