Udala: A conman was detained and beaten by the locals for conning lakhs of rupees from several women promising to give them job in Chuinposhi village under Kathipada police station in Udala on Sunday morning.According to sources, the conman identified as Binod Jena had conned women from as many as 26 Gram Panchayats promising them to give them their desired job in different companies.As Jena was nabbed by the police, the women and their family members assembled in front of the police station to get their money. During their protest the conman was manhandled by the people also.
