Administration on high alert for New Year celebrations in Bengaluru city

Bengaluru: The administration is on high alert for the New Year celebrations in Bengaluru city, said reliable reports on Monday. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara told preparations have been made by the administration. According to reports, on the New Year celebrations Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara tol ANI, “We have made all the necessary preparations to ensure that no untoward incident takes place in Bengaluru city and the entire state.” Further he added, “We have also warned those who want to create disturbance and at the same time, we have made a lot of preparations. Thousands of police officers have been deployed and my only appeal to the people is that they should not get involved in any untoward incident and celebrate the New Year happily.” He concluded saying, “I wish everyone a Happy New Year.” On contractor allegedly killing self in Bidar, he said, “We have already decided to hand it over to COD. There is no necessity to give it to the CBI.”
