Five illegal immigrants from Bangladesh apprehended

New Delhi: As many as five illegal immigrants from Bangladesh were apprehended near Kali Basti, Uttam Nagar Metro Station in the jurisdiction of PS Uttam Nagar. During interrogation, they disclosed that they had illegally migrated from Bangladesh. On checking their mobile phone, Bangladesh citizenship and mobile number were established.All the illegal immigrants were produced at the office of FRRO, RK Puram and after completion of the necessary documentation, they were detained at the Centre at Inderlok, the information was later confirmed by Delhi Police.Recently illegal immigrant from Bangladesh was deported by Anti-Narcotics Unit in the South West District of New Delhi, said reliable reports on Friday. According to reports, the 28-year-old woman has been identified as Sonali Sheikh. It is worth mentioning here that, she had been residing in India, thereby violating the provisions of the Foreigners Act, for the last six years.The Anti-Narcotics Unit has confirmed the above information. Earlier on December 24, two Bangladeshi women were detained at Tripura’s Agartala railway station for illegal entry into India, according to the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP).The operation was carried out jointly by the GRP, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), the Border Security Force (BSF), and the Intelligence Department, officials said. The detainees, identified as Nilufa Begum (34) and Jiasmin (30) both residents of Shariatpur district, Bangladesh were apprehended on Monday afternoon, the police stated.
