CRPF jawan critical in IED explosion in Odisha-Chhattisgarh border

Malkangiri: In a tragic incident, a CRPF jawan has been critically injured in and IED explosion in Odisha Chhattisgarh border, said reliable reports on Monday. According to reports, a Maoist IED explosion occurred in the Usur forest of Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, bordering Malkangiri district. A CRPF Cobra jawan was seriously injured in this incident. The seriously injured jawan has been sent to Raipur Medical College for further treatment. The Cobra jawan was involved in an anti-Maoist operation. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard. It is worth mentioning here that on January 9, as many as three maoists have been killed in an encounter in Odisha-Chattisgarh border. According to reports, there is an encounter between security forces and Naxals in Sukma of Chhattisgarh. The Deputy CM Vijay Sharma has said that, “Security forces have had success in their operations in Sukma. Today, the bodies of three Naxals have been recovered from there. Search operation is continuing there.” In a tragic incident on Monday, as many as eight jawans and one driver has died in an IED blast in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, said reliable reports in this regard. According to reports, a total of nine people have been killed out of them eight Dantewada DRG jawans and one driver, lost their lives after their vehicle was blown up by naxals through an IED blast, in Bijapur. They were returning after a joint operation of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur, informed the IG of Bastar.
