10th Board Exam 2025: Eight students caught for malpractice during Second Language exam in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A total of eight students were caught for malpractice during Second Language test of the 10th Board Exam 2025 in Odisha on Monday. As informed by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, eight students were  today caught by the squads for indulging in malpractice during the Second Language exam – English, Hindi, Environment & Population Education (only for hearing impaired candidates). It is to be noted here that a total of 5,22,336 candidates are appearing  the Odisha Board HSC Class 10 exam at 313 exam centres across the state. The Odisha 10th exam is being held from 9 AM to 11.30 AM while the examinees are allowed to enter the examination center from 7.30 AM onwards. The board has made elaborate arrangement to conduct the exam smoothly. It has formed 42 squad teams for the exam, while the district education officers also have formed 90 teams to check malpractice during the test. Besides, squads also been formed by the district administration and police administration. There are 314 nodal centers in 30 districts for the smooth conduct of the matriculation examination. Since yesterday, the question papers and answer sheets have reached all the nodal centers. The question papers from the nodal centres will reach the examination center between 7.30 AM and 8.30 AM as per the day-wise schedule. The BSE, Odisha has set-up a central command control room at its head office in Cuttack to watch live from 314 nodal centres and 300 examination centers. From here, the board authorities can check the details of the examination centers. Efforts have been made to install CCTV in every examination center. A total of 10 CCTV cameras have been installed at each examination center. To prevent the matriculation question paper leak, the board has given watermarks, static QR codes and dynamic codes in each question paper. This apart, the State government has appointed one ADM and one DSP as nodal officers for the smooth conduct of the Odisha board 10th exam.
