Soro: After his proposal for love rejected, a jilted lover allegedly killed a girl in Balasore district of Odisha recently. The incident took place in Lingapada village under Soro Police limits. The deceased girl has been identified as 25 year old Jyotirmayee Rana. As per reports, the girl was working in a private company in Bhubaneswar. She had gone to the village two months ago.Today the girl was alone at home. After some time, her family members returned home and saw that her throat had been slit. They shifted her immediately to the doctor. However, by then the girl had died. It has further been learnt that a youth from Basudevpur area, was also working in the same company where the girl was working in Bhubaneswar. It has been alleged that he proposed the girl and as she refused, the youth used to threaten the girl. A complaint was filed in this regard against the youth at the Soro police station. After receiving the news, Soro police reached the spot and started investigation. Further probe of the case is underway.
