Angul: A fire mishap occurred due to gas cylinder explosion in Balang village under Bantala police limits in Angul district. As many as two houses were reduced to ashes in the fire. Reportedly, the fire caught in the house of one Dillip Biswal. The gas cylinder explosion was so fierce that it took hours to tame the fire. According to information, properties worth lakhs of rupees, gold jewellery, hard cash, five goats were gutted in the fire. Blackgram, paddy, green gram seeds that he had in his house were also engulfed in the fire mishap in Angul. Fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire. Locals had rushed in to the spot following the explosion while the extinguishing work was underway.
