Kalinganagar,22/4: Reinforcing its commitment to community welfare and sustainability, Jindal Stainless Limited inaugurated a permanent purified drinking water kiosk outside the main gate of its plant in Jajpur on April 19, 2025. The kiosk, which is equipped with an advanced RO and UV purification system along with refrigeration technology, aims to provide clean and cold drinking water to the general public, especially during the sweltering summer months.
Traditionally, Jindal Stainless has been setting up temporary water distribution kiosks every summer as part of its seasonal community outreach. However, taking a significant step forward this year, the company has opted for a permanent installation to ensure round-the-year access to safe drinking water.
The kiosk was formally inaugurated by Head of External Relations, Mr Nilamadhaba Rath, in the presence of Unit Head, Mr Deepak Agrawal, and Head, HR & IR, Mr Rakesh Pathak. The company also announced its plans to set up additional kiosks across the Vyasanagar area, further extending the reach of this public utility initiative.
In a parallel effort, the Mines team at Jindal Stainless has also established temporary water kiosks in the Kaliapani mines area, ensuring that clean drinking water is accessible to the local communities and workers in those regions during the intense summer heat.
This move is part of Jindal Stainless’ broader vision to contribute to the health, comfort, and upliftment of the local communities it serves.
