Joda: In a tragic incident, three members of a family died, and another person was critically injured after their Thar SUV veered off the road and crashed into a roadside mango tree on National Highway-20 near Rajia in Odisha’s Kendujhar district.Sources said the tragedy took place around 10 PM on Wednesday, when Trilochan Apat, a resident of Sijukala village, experienced acute stomach pain.Following which, his son Ranjit Apat, wife Kaiful Apat, and uncle Bhaskar Apat were taking him to Champua Hospital in their Thar SUV.The speeding vehicle reportedly lost control near Rajia and slammed into a mango tree beside the road.Due to the severe impact of the crash, Bhaskar Apat died at the spot.The other three occupant sustained severe injuries.With the help of the Champua Fire Services, locals pulled the injured from the wreckage and rushed them to Champua Hospital.However, owing to their deteriorating health, they were referred to the Kendujhar District Headquarters Hospital.On their way to the district hospital, Trilochan Apat and his wife Kaiful Apat succumbed to their injuries.Ranjit Apat is currently undergoing treatment at the Hospital, where he is in a critical condition.On receiving information, Champua Police arrived at the spot and have started a probe into the incident.
