Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration today seized 30 packets of unauthorised ghee that were being taken into the temple’s Rosaghara (kitchen).According to reports, security personnel detected the ghee while it was being taken into the temple kitchen. Upon verification, officials found that the packets did not belong to the approved brand permitted for use in Mahaprasad preparation.The temple administration has strict guidelines mandating the use of OMFED ghee in the preparation of Mahaprasad. The entry of any other brand of ghee into the temple premises is prohibited to ensure the purity and sanctity of the sacred offering.Following the seizure, the administration launched an investigation into the incident. Officials were trying to determine which Suara servitor was involved in bringing the ghee into the Rosaghara and whether a conspiracy was behind the attempt.The temple administration said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for violating the prescribed norms. The administration has also intensified security and inspection measures to prevent any compromise in the quality and purity of Mahaprasad.
