Paradip – Bethany Convent School of Paradip organized a one-day Teachers’ Orientation Programme on June 20, 2026, in the school auditorium. The programme was held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., centered on the theme of “Classroom Management” and aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of teachers.The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was led by the Resource Person, Mr. Ashok Kumar Patnaik, Counselling Psychologist, along with Rev Fr Nihar Ranjan Parichha, Manager, Rev. Fr. Sunil Lakra, Principal,Sr Anu Jyoti,Vice Principal and Mrs. Moni, Secretary of the Teachers’ Cabinet. This was followed by a prayer song, invoking God’s blessings for the fruitful conduct of the programme.The resource person was formally introduced and felicitated by the Manager and the Principal. Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Sunil Lakra, Principal highlighted the significance of continuous learning and professional development for educators in an ever-evolving educational landscape.Under his able leadership, the orientation programme was thoughtfully organized to provide teachers with a meaningful platform for professional growth, skill enhancement, and the exchange of innovative teaching practices. His vision and commitment to academic excellence created an environment conducive to learning, reflection, and collaboration among the faculty members.The highlight of the programme was the enriching orientation session conducted by Mr. Ashok Kumar Patnaik. Drawing from his vast experience as a Counselling Psychologist, he shared valuable insights on effective classroom management, positive discipline, student motivation, emotional well-being, and fostering healthy teacher-student relationships. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, he equipped teachers with strategies to create a positive and productive classroom environment.The session was highly engaging and encouraged teachers to reflect on their classroom practices while exploring new approaches to address contemporary educational challenges. Participants appreciated the relevance and practicality of the ideas shared during the programme.The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Moni, Secretary of the Teachers’ Cabinet.
