Ram mandir donation theft: Supreme Court allows public suggestions for SIT probing fund theft charges

New Delhi, 17/8: In a significant move aimed at ensuring a thorough probe, the Supreme Court on Monday permitted petitioners and other public-spirited individuals to submit suggestions to the Solicitor General’s office on aspects that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) should investigate regarding alleged theft of donations received by the Ram Mandir trust in Ayodhya.

A bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana directed the office of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to forward such suggestions to the SIT, expressing confidence that they would be considered objectively.
