An Odia migrant worker, who had gone to earn a livelihood, has died in a tragic accident. The 28-year-old youth lost his life in distant Telangana. However, due to the noble gesture of the ‘Bindumina Seva Foundation’, his body could reach his native land.According to the information received, Bikash Chandra Jal (28), a resident of Ghotia village under Golamunda police station in Kalahandi district, had gone to Ramagundam city in Telangana state to work as a migrant laborer to support his family. After meeting with a tragic bike accident there, local residents rushed him to the hospital immediately. However, the doctors there declared him dead.The body kept lying in the hospital overnight, and the post-mortem was completed the following day. However, due to financial distress, the family members were completely unable to bring the body back to their village in Odisha. Under such circumstances, the villagers appealed for help through social media.Upon receiving this tragic news, the “Bindumina Seva Foundation” immediately extended a helping hand. The foundation’s chairman, Bindu Mahanand, discussed the financial condition of the deceased’s family with villagers Dharmendra Jal, Bhaktaram, and Dambharudhar Jal. Following this, the foundation arranged a freezer ambulance completely free of cost. Today, after Bikash’s body reached his birthplace, Ghotia village, the last rites were performed in a mournful atmosphere.A shadow of grief has enveloped the entire village due to Bikash’s untimely demise. As he leaves behind his wife and a young son, this poor family has now been left completely helpless.The villagers and locals have highly praised and expressed their deep gratitude to the “Bindumina Seva Foundation” for acting as an angel for poor people during such difficult times and arranging to bring the body back to the village.
