The “Khelo India Dialogue – Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Sath” was organised at Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University (MSCB University), Takatpur, Baripada, providing an inspiring platform for young students to connect with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a stronger, healthier and sporting India.Hon’ble Minister for Housing & Urban Development, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, attended the programme along with Mayurbhanj MP Shri Nabacharan Majhi, Vice Chancellor of MSCB University Shri Mahendra Mohanty, and Shri Dibyaranjan Das and Smt. Rashmita Sahu from the Sports Authority of India. They joined the enthusiastic students in listening to the inspiring address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Dr. Mahapatra highlighted the importance of sports in empowering the youth and nurturing discipline, confidence, determination, teamwork and leadership among them. He said that Odisha has a rich sporting culture and immense potential among its young people. Initiatives such as Khelo India are providing new opportunities for aspiring athletes to identify and develop their talent, access better training and infrastructure, and pursue their dreams at the national and international level. The Minister emphasised that sports is not merely about winning medals, but about building a healthy, confident and capable generation. Greater participation in sports can help young people realise their potential while contributing to the larger goal of nation-building and the vision of a Viksit Bharat. Addressing the youth, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighted how Khelo India has emerged as a powerful platform for identifying, nurturing and supporting sporting talent from across the country. He emphasised the importance of providing young athletes with opportunities, quality training, infrastructure, encouragement and institutional support to help them pursue their aspirations.
