A speeding luxury car allegedly rammed into three cars and two motorcycles near Palasuni in Bhubaneswar in the early hours of Thursday, leaving four to five people injured and several vehicles badly damaged.According to reports, the car was allegedly travelling at a speed of more than 150 kmph when the driver lost control. The car first hit an Alto and then rammed into a Swift Dzire before colliding with two motorcycles. The impact left the vehicles extensively damaged.The injured were initially rushed to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment. One of the victims was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition reportedly deteriorated.“The speeding SUV hit our car, causing injury to my brother. He was rushed to Capital Hospital and later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated,” said a victim.The driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The multiple collisions triggered panic in the area and affected traffic movement for some time.On being informed, Mancheswar Police reached the spot and detained the driver. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are examining the circumstances leading to the crash.
