A fox attacked 13 people after entering Tarakot village under Korei block in Jajpur district of Odisha on Monday night, leaving a child, eight women and four men injured. The incident took place around 10 pm when the fox entered the village and first attacked a child. It later went on to bite 12 more people in the area. All 13 injured people were taken to the Korei Community Health Centre with the help of local residents. They are currently undergoing treatment there. The fox had not been captured yet, and the search was continuing in and around the village. Meanwhile, residents have been keeping watch in the area following the attacks. Some villagers have been carrying sticks and wooden poles while guarding the village. Forest officials have urged residents not to approach the animal if it is spotted and to immediately inform the forest team.
