A khaja godown in Puri was raided again after a joint team of police and food safety officials conducted an inspection at the facility. According to reports, the raid was carried out at Kalikadevi Sahi near Kakudikhai Chhak. Reportedly, during the inspection, the food safety team found concerns over the quality and hygiene of the products. As per the report, a large quantity of khaja stored at the godown was destroyed by the food safety officials. They also sealed the godown where the traditional sweet was being prepared. The action comes amid ongoing inspections of khaja-making units in different parts of Puri . Food safety teams had previously conducted raids at several locations near Puri Srimandir to check the quality and preparation of khaja. The raids were carried out as part of ongoing efforts to ensure food safety and maintain hygiene standards in khaja-making units around Srimandir . Officials said such inspections are necessary to protect consumers and ensure that the popular Puri delicacy is prepared and sold under safe and hygienic conditions.
