SUBARNAPUR — A turtle was rescued from the Haradakhol road of National Highway No. 57 in Sonpur–Balangir by nature lover Byasadeb Nanda of Kulipali under Sonpur block today. Focusing on the safety and proper care of this innocent creature, he contacted the Sonpur forest officer on the advice of Bikram Kumar Nanda, advisor of Sonpur Junior Red Cross and later handed over the turtle to the forest officials to release it in its suitable natural habitat. During this great event, Shri Nanda was accompanied by Kulipali teachers Bikram Kumar Nanda, Prashant, Pradeep Jayant Pradhan. On this occasion, Shri Nanda appealed to the public through the media for the protection and conservation of wildlife and the protection of biodiversity. In addition, he created awareness that every living being has an important role in maintaining the balance of the forest and environment. A great message for the society Wild animals are an integral part of nature. Their protection is not only the responsibility of the Forest Department, but also the moral duty of every citizen of the society. If any wild animal is seen in a helpless condition on the roadside or near a human settlement, it should be reported to the Forest Department immediately without harming it. Instead of keeping wild animals in your home or leaving them somewhere else at will, it is necessary to take expert advice. This step by Byasadeb Nanda teaches us that even a small human effort can save the life of an innocent creature. Love for nature should be reflected not only in words, but also in actions. Kindness to life, respect for nature – this is true humanity. Report — Ugrasen Karmi.
