EOW Raids Underway at Former MP N. Bhaskar Rao’s Residence in Rayagada Over Alleged Financial Fraud

Rayagada, Novemver 6: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Odisha Crime Branch conducted a search at the residence of former Rajya Sabha MP and industrialist N. Bhaskar Rao in Rayagada on Friday in connection with an alleged financial fraud. The investigation reportedly relates to alleged financial irregularities and embezzlement linked to a local truck owners’ association.According to sources, an EOW team arrived in Rayagada and carried out searches at the former MP’s residential premises, examining financial documents and other records as part of the investigation.Bhaskar Rao was reportedly away from Rayagada when the search was conducted. The investigating team is also understood to have questioned some of his associates and staff members present at the premises. Mr. Rao has not yet issued any statement to the media on the above development.Further details regarding the documents examined or seized, the specific allegations against those under investigation and the next course of legal action are yet to be officially disclosed.The investigation is ongoing.
