Dubai, 11/11: Pakistan captain Babar Azam was wreaking havoc with the bat in the T20 World Cup 2021. Under Babar’s captaincy, Pakistan has won all their five group matches. This is the only team to do so in this World Cup. In the second semi-final, Pakistan faces Australia and Babar can make 3 records in his name.
Babar Azam is at number two in terms of scoring the most runs in the debut T20 World Cup. Babar has scored 264 runs in T20 WC 2021. Australia’s Matthew Hayden holds the record for scoring the most runs. Hayden had scored 265 runs in the year 2007. Babar will break Hayden’s record as soon as he scores two runs. Hayden is currently the batting consultant of the Pakistani team.
Babar Azam is the highest run-scorer in this tournament after England’s Jos Buttler (269). Babar has scored 264 runs in 5 matches with the help of four half-centuries. Babar will leave England’s wicket-keeper batsman behind as soon as he scores 6 runs
Before Babar Azam, Virat Kohli had scored four fifty in the T20 World Cup 2014. Babar will have a chance to break Kohli’s record in the semi-final against Australia
