CM Naveen’s stern stance against corrupt and incompetent continues

Bhubaneswar, 15/2: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has always emphasized on maintaining high morals and integrity in the field of public life. He has always insisted on zero tolerance against incompetent and corrupt officials. The Chief Minister has continued his efforts to provide services to the people through a transparent, efficient and accountable administration.

 

According to the state government’s approach, five more officers have been forced to retire, including police DSPs, OAS officers, police inspectors and two municipal executive officers. To date, 151 employees have been fired or forced to retire.

 

 

One of the five has been charged with corruption in the Kalahandi District Anti-Violence Investigation Center (IUCAW) against Odisha Police Service Officer Shri Rabindra Kumar Sethi, who has been appointed DSLP. He was caught red-handed by the anti-corruption department with a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a complainant and was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. He has been forced to retire due to corruption and dishonesty.

 

 

Sushil Kumar Kujur, a former tehsildar of Sundargarh district, has been charged with corruption. He embezzled the MNREGA funds while the video was in the Dhenkanal Sadar Block 4. The government has lost Rs 24 lakh 22,538 crore by planting trees on fake papers in various villages. He was arrested and remanded in custody. He has been forced to retire due to incompetence, corruption and dishonesty.

 

 

Mr. Binod Bihari Nayak, Inspector of Police, Bangamunda, Balangir District, has been charged with corruption. He was traveling from Bangmunda to Kuchinda in a Maruti Siaz7 car when he was caught by a team of anti-corruption officials near Bargarh Tollgate. Rs 2,6,220 was seized from him.

 

 

Rs 3,80,920 was seized during his search at his official residence in Bangamunda. A total of Rs 5,87,140 was seized from him. He was arrested on November 30, 2021. Further investigation revealed that the Maruti car (OD-15K-6111) he was traveling in was located under the M. Dhanupalli police station in Sambalpur district. A man named Nasir is named after his son, Mohammad Malim. The man has four cases registered against him at Dhanupalli police station and one at Sambalpur Sadar police station. He has been forced to retire due to corruption, incompetence and abuse.

 

 

Similarly, Mr. Tapas Ranjan Jena, a former executive officer of Basudebpur municipality in Bhadrak district, has been forced to retire during his tenure due to incompetence, dishonesty, negligence in duty and financial irregularities.

 

 

Mr. Vijayakrishna Nayak, a former executive officer of Karanjia NAC in Mayurbhanj district, was found guilty of incompetence, negligence in duty, moral misconduct, illicit relations with women, public service to the public during his municipal tenure. .

 

 

To date, 151 employees have been fired or forced to retire.
