Chilka, 25/11: With the onset of the tourist season, the number of tourists is increasing at OTDC Bdakul Panthanivas, Chilika.
However, according to information, a passenger OTDC boat carrying 40 tourists towards Maa Kalijai temple, stopped in the Chilika lake after some distance due to mechanical failure.
As soon as the information was received, the Badkul OTDC manager Sabyasachi Kar immediately sent the staff to bring the boat back to the shore and transferred the passengers to another boat . However, the passengers have been saved from a major accident due to the quick action of the Badkul OTDC officials.
