Maharashtra, 18/2 (Ao Bureau): An organization under the farmers’ rail roko movement in protest against the three agricultural laws of the Center, disrupted the movement of trains on Thursday at Lasur railway station in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Under the United Farmers’ Front, various farmer organizations are opposing the new agricultural laws. The United Kisan Morcha had announced a nationwide rail roko movement to assert its demand for withdrawal of new laws.
An official said that at least 12 people have been detained at Lasur railway station. A railway police official said, ‘The Jalna-Mumbai Jan Shatabdi train was stopped at the station for about 30 minutes. We have detained around 12 agitators and further investigations are on. “Similarly, the All India Kisan Sabha, a farmers’ organization, staged a sit-in outside Aurangabad railway station. An official said that the agitation started at 12 noon.
