Professor Ganeshi Lal, Governor of Odisha graced the closing function of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Patitapaban Gov. High School in Gambarimunda, Banpur today . Governor inaugurated the ceremony as the chief guest while Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik attended as the guest of honour.
On this occasion, the guests unveiled the new statue of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati installed in the high school premises along with garlanding the statue of the founder of the said school late Bhagirathi Malu and the philanthropist of the school late Parsuram Harichandan. The guests then toured the high school’s science exhibition and classroom decorations.
Dr. Surendranath Dash, President of the Diamond Jubilee Committee, presided over the meeting while Secretary Durga Prasad Maharana delivered the welcome speech. The guests unveiled the souvenir of the high school and distributed prizes to meritorious students. HM Sachala Guru and all staffs were present on the occasion.
