New Delhi, 2/3: The Supreme Court has directed market regulator Sebi to investigate whether there has been a violation of Section 19 of Sebi rules by Adani Group and whether there was any manipulation of stock prices.
The apex court has set up an expert committee on the issue arising out of the Hindenburg report which accused the conglomerate of accounting fraud, to be headed by retired Justice A M Sapre.
The top court was hearing petitions pertaining to the report including on the constitution of a committee relating to regulatory mechanisms to protect the investors.
