Prof. Sabita Pradhan Appointed as First VC of Odia University

Bhubaneswar, 18/8: In a major development, Prof. Sabita Pradhan has been appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Odia University, Satyabadi, Puri.

Odisha Governor and Chancellor Prof. Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof. Pradhan as the first VC of Odia University for a period of two years.

The notification said”In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8(1) of the Odia University Act, 2017, the Chancellor, Odia University, Satyabadi has been pleased to appoint Prof. Sabita Pradhan, Professor of Odia, Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan as first Vice-Chancellor of Odia University, Satyabadi, Puri for a period of two years with effect from the date she assumes office as such or until further orders, whichever is earlier”
