Khordha : On Friday , 16 fishermen were arrested on the charge of illegal entry and fishing in Nalbana Bird Sanctuary under Chilika Wildlife Division . The wildlife department informed that all the arrested accused are from Chandraput village. 3 boats, 75 sets of dubi nets,47 nos plain nets, 3 thermocol box,3 bamboo oars and 3 mobiles have been seized from them . Nalbana Bird Sanctuary has been declared a restricted area and strict action has been taken against illegal entry said Chilika Wildlife DFO Amlan Nayak . Similarly, all accused have been forwarded to court he added.
