New Delhi, 20/11: K Sanjay Murthy has been appointed as the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, following the conclusion of the tenure of the current CAG, GC Murmu, whose term ended on November 20, 2024. He is a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 1985 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He has held several significant positions in both the state and central governments. Before being appointed as the CAG, he served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)
