Ghaziabad: CCTV footage has reportedly captured the sequence of events surrounding an alleged attempt to kill a man by his wife and her gym trainer in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.The incident took place at a residential society in Vasundhara Sector 1 on the morning of October 26.According to the CCTV footage, Priya Sharma was seen leaving the residential complex in her car at around 5:17 am. Approximately three minutes later, Pratap Singh, her gym trainer, was captured entering the society and heading towards her home.He allegedly attacked her husband, Shashank Kantharia, while he was sleeping.Neighbours reportedly rushed out after hearing Shashank’s cries and the couple’s young child crying. The suspect was seen fleeing the house minutes after the attack.Residents, along with a security guard and two bikers, reportedly chased and caught him near the society’s main gate. Shashank was subsequently taken to a hospital, where he is receiving treatment.Police said Priya and Pratap had allegedly developed a relationship after she began attending the gym several months ago. Investigators claim that Shashank had discovered their relationship and was planning to move to Delhi after Diwali.The two suspects allegedly conspired to kill him so they could marry. Priya is also accused of leaving the house’s entrance unlocked to facilitate the attack.Both Priya and Pratap have been arrested. Police have reportedly recovered the knife used in the attack and registered a case involving attempted murder and criminal conspiracy.The allegations remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
