Malkangiri AO Bureau: 28/11 Two tribal youths from Malkangiri district have been selected for the International Sand Art Festival 2024. The Sand Art and Konark Classical Dance Festival organized by the Odisha Tourism Department is going to be held at Chandrabhaga in Konark. Similarly, competitors from 28 states of the country are participating in the sand art competition, while it is known that competitors from each district of Odisha will also participate. Along with this, seven to eight competitors from abroad are also scheduled to participate in this sand art festival. This competition will be held for five days from December 1 to 5. Two tribal youths from Malkangiri district, Muka Kabasa and Keni Kabsa, have been selected to perform sand art in the said festival. Malkangiri district has always been known as a remote and remote area, but intellectuals have expressed the opinion that the district has a lot of potential, but it is not reaching the public eye due to lack of encouragement.
