Pravasi Bharatiya Divas begins in Bhubaneswar, CM and External Affairs Minister inaugurate

Bhubaneswar: The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas has begun in Bhubaneswar of Odisha at the Janata Maidan. The three-day conference began with Yuva Pravasi Bharatiya Divas today. As per reports, Minister of State for External Affairs, Pratibha Margaretta, presented the welcome address after lighting of the lamp. Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated the program. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the conference and addressed the gathering. The first plenary session was titled ‘Beyond Borders: Diaspora Youth Leadership in a Globalized World’. The state government will present on ‘Investment Opportunities in Odisha’ between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. In the afternoon, a session titled ‘Unveiling India’s Best Kept Secret and Developing Odisha: The Road Ahead’ will be held. In the evening, in the cultural show, Odissi dance will be performed by Aruna Mohanty’s Dance Academy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in the evening today. He will formally inaugurate the event on 9th January. Cultural programs will be organized every evening. Non Resident Indians from more than 70 countries have come to attend the program. They will visit 21 tourist destinations in Jajpur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Puri. Overseas Indians will visit 21 tourist destinations in the state in a double-decker bus.
