Odisha woman found dead in Bengaluru, family alleges foul play

Bhubaneswar: A woman from Odisha reportedly died in Bengaluru recently. Her father has alleged that his daughter has been murdered and the culprit tried to make it look like a natural death. According to information, Subhasree, daughter of Anant Kishore Samal of Baripada village under Balichandrapur police station limits in Jajpur district was married to Pramod, son of Pradeepta Samal of Niali village under the Balichandrapur police station limits, a year ago. After marriage, Pramod lived with Subhasree in Bengaluru. Pramod was working as a security guard in Bengaluru and the family was living in Anasandra Palia of Vinay Nagar under HAL police station limits. Yesterday, Subhasree’s husband Pramod informed that Subhasree had lost her life. After receiving the information, Subhasree’s father came from Anant village. He suspected the death of his daughter as a case of murder. Accordingly, he made a serious allegation that his daughter was killed. In this regard, a complaint has been filed at the HAL police station against five people including his son-in-law Pramod Samal, Pradeep Samal and Samudini Bani Samal. The deceased woman’s father alleged that the girl was tortured and killed over dowry demand. Meanwhile, HAL police have sent Subhashree’s body to the hospital for autopsy and have arrested Pramod and are investigating the incident.
