Indian cricket team players seek blessings at Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, ahead of India vs England ODI match

Puri: Ahead of the India vs England ODI in Barabati stadium on February 8, members of Indian cricket team visited Shree Jagannath temple at Puri this morning. Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar visited the Srimandir amidst tight security.The three cricketers were given a grand welcome at the Singha dwar (Lion’s Gate) today. The entered the temple amidst tight security through the Baisi pahacha and seeked blessings from the Lords.While returning from the temple the players expressed their happiness. They offered Khandua to the Lords and paid obeisance to the Trinity siblings.The practice session of the players will be held on February 8 (Saturday) and huge gathering is expected at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack and its periphery. The practice session will be held around 5.00 pm today.Players of India and England cricket teams arrived in Bhubaneswar in a special flight on Friday evening to play their second ODI match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Sunday.Soon after landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport, the players directly went to May Fair Hotel amid tight security. On their arrival at the hotel, they were given a grand welcome with traditional dance.Besides, a big welcome hoarding with flower decorations have been put up in front of the hotel, where all the necessary arrangements have been made for the sooth stay of the players.Several cricket lovers also had gathered infront of the hotel to have a glance of their favorite players and captured the special moment with their phones.The Commissionerate Police also has set up a makeshift control room on the premises of the hotel to provide security to the players. support staff and the match officials.
