Paradip: JSW Utkal Steel and JSW Foundation have initiated the construction of a Kali Puja Mandap at Nuagaon Gram Panchayat, which is under completion phase. Further beautification and upgradation work has started today. It was a long-standing demand of the local community ahead of the Kali Puja celebrations.
Under the leadership of Mr. Anil Kumar Singh, President of JSW Utkal Steel Limited, the initiative reflects the company’s continued commitment to community development and improving living standards across Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadakujang Gram Panchayats. The project was undertaken in response to development priorities identified through community consultations.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Manoj Singh, Vice-President, JSW Utkal Steel, Paradip; Mr. Samarendu Patnaik, AVP, Public Relations; and Mr. Abhijit Mohanty, CSR Head. The community representatives from the Nuagaon GP Mr. Smruti Mantry, Mr. Tamil Pradhan, Mr. Kuna Bhuyan, Mr. Dillip Das, Mr. Ajit Prasad Rout, Mr. Narayan Jena, other community leaders and various villagers attended the event. The newly completed mandap will provide a dedicated space for Kali Puja celebrations and community gatherings, strengthening social and cultural bonds among local residents.
The community welcomed the initiative and appreciated JSW Utkal Steel and JSW Foundation for responding to their long-standing demand and supporting local development.
