Kolkata, 22/6(Ao Bureau): Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP from West Bengal Nusrat Jahan’s troubles may increase further. In fact, BJP MP Sanghamitra Maurya has accused him of giving wrong information in the affidavit filed in Parliament. BJP MP has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this regard demanding action against Nusrat.
The complaint against Trinamool Congress MP Nusrat Jahan comes after her claim on Wednesday that her marriage with businessman Nikhil Jain was not legal but a live-in-relationship Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP from West Bengal Nusrat Jahan’s. troubles may increase further. In fact, BJP MP Sanghamitra Maurya has accused him of giving wrong information in the affidavit filed in Parliament. BJP MP has written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in this regard demanding action against Nusrat.
Nusrat is because their marriage in Turkey is not recognized as per Indian law. Nusrat Jahan also claimed in her statement that since it was an inter-religious marriage, it needs recognition in India under the Special Marriage Act, which has not yet been found. According to the law, it is not a marriage but a live-in-relationship.
