Pakistan retained in the gray list of FATF is now praising ’26 points’ to the world

Islamabad, 26/6 (AO Bureau):The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has retained Pakistan, which promotes terrorists from its soil, in the gray list. After this decision of FATF, Pakistan has got chilly. Now Islamabad is pleading that it has achieved 26 out of 27 points set by the global body, yet there is no point in retaining it in this list.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has met 26 out of 27 points set by the FATF against money laundering and aiding terrorists. Qureshi on Saturday said there was no point in keeping Pakistan in the FATF’s ‘doubtful list’.

The FATF plenary meeting held on June 21-25 had decided to keep Pakistan on the ‘suspect list’ for its failure to stop money laundering and terrorist aid. This statement of Qureshi has come just a day after this decision. In the meeting, FATF has also been asked to take action and investigate against the leaders of terrorist groups Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.
