Road accident at Matupali Chhak, 3 dead, 2 seriously injured

SUBARNAPUR, 27/3 — A road accident at Matupali Chhak under Ulunda police station in Subarnapur district has left 3 people dead and 2 seriously injured. According to reports, a speeding Haiwa vehicle coming from Sonepur and a Bolero coming from Sindhol collided head-on. Three electricity workers were killed in the accident. The deceased have been identified as Papun Patra of Goudagaon, Arttatran Purohit and Sushil Naik of Naikapada. After hitting the Bolero, the Haiwa vehicle overturned on the roadside. As a result, the Haiwa drivers Umesh Yadab and Debendra Yadab have been admitted to the Subarnapur district head quarters hospital in critical condition. The deceased are known to be employees of Tata Power ( TPWODL ). According to information, the electricity department employees had gone to the Sindhol area to collect electricity bill . While returning after collecting electricity bill , a speeding Haiwa going to Ulunda Matupalli Chhak hit the electricity department vehicle. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the accident. The Haiwa also overturned due to the accident. The electricity employee Sushil died on the spot. Ambulance and fire brigade personnel reached the spot, rescued the Haiwa drivers Umesh and Debendra and admitted them to Ulunda CHC . The injured Arttatran was sent to Subarnapur District Head Quarter Hospital as his condition was critical. The doctor declared Arttatran dead at the Subarnapur District Head Quarter Hospital. The Ulunda Fire Department, with the help of Public , sent the seriously injured persons to Ulunda CHC in an ambulance. Ulunda Police have reached the spot and started an investigation.
