BJD party workers sprinkle Ganga water to demonstrate protest against Police-MLA scuffle in Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: The Opposition Biju Janta Dal (BJD) protested today in a very unique way by sprinkling Ganga water in order to cleanse the Assembly premises. The leaders cited that amidst the police- MLAs scuffle, the Odisha Assembly has been polluted thus BJD MLAs sprinkled Ganga water. In order to cleanse the polluted Odisha Assembly, the Opposition BJD MLA sprinkled Ganga water in the Assembly premises. The police had never entered the Assembly earlier. The Police-MLA scuffle outside the Odisha Assembly was criticised by one and all. The incident brought a shame for Odisha. The BJD MLAs including senior leader Arun Sahu were seen sprinkling Ganga water with a mango leaves. Seeing the unusual sight, the Speaker Surama Padhee requested the BJD leaders not to enter the Assembly with the Kalash (pot of Ganga water). The protesting lawmakers then retraced their path out of the Assembly. The party criticised the police attack on MLAs on Wednesday. The day before, the Congress leaders also had to go through the same fate. As a result, the temple of democracy- Odisha Assembly has been polluted and needs to be cleansed said the MLAs in unison.
