90th Police foundation day celebrated at several places in Odisha

Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: The 90th Police foundation day has been observed in Bhubaneswar today. Police Commissioner S Debadutta Singh graced the celebrations as the Chief Guest at the Reserve Police parade ground. At the outset, some police personnel have been awarded on for their outstanding services. On the day when Odisha was acclaimed statehood, to maintain the law and order situation, the Police department was established in 1936. In the reserve police ground in Buxi bazar of Cuttack the celebrations were held. A state-level parade was conducted. Police DG YB Khurania attended the celebrations as the Chief Guest. He spoke about the important role played by police to maintain the law and order in the state and the country at large. The Naxal and the cyber crimes are major challenges for the police. In the reserve police ground in Sundargarh, the police foundation was celebrated. Sundargarh SP Pratyush Dibakar graced the event as the Chief Guest and shared his valuable insights. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Odisha Governor shared their insights to the Reserve police. They also addressed the Reserve police and suggested them to win the trust of the people. Along with Ananya Awasthi several other IPS probationeries also attended the Police foundation day celebrations in Odisha.
