New Delhi, 30/12 (AO Bureau):The central government has increased the deadline for filing Income Tax Return. The last date for filing the first ITR was 31 December 2020. However, now the Income Tax Department has informed that the last date to file ITR for the financial year 2020 is 10 January 2021.
The Income Tax Department on Wednesday said that keeping in mind the coronavirus epidemic, the last date for submission of annual returns for the financial year 2019-20 has been fixed as 28 February 2021. This decision has been taken under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017.
