Coal-laden train catches fire in Odisha’s Balasore district

Soro: A coal-laden goods train reportedly caught fire in Balasore district of Odisha on Wednesday morning. Two wagons of the coal-laden train were seen engulfed by flames at the Soro railway station. As per reports, the train was heading towards Tata from Dhamra carrying coal. The station master of Markona informed the Soro station about the fire mishap. Accordingly, the train was stopped near Soro station. On receiving information, the Soro fire department personnel reached the station and extinguished the fire. Later, the train continued its journey for its destination after delay of more than an hour. The railway department is investigating the incident.
